Custom tokens

Hello,
I am currently trying to create custom tokens for use when creating breadcrumbs. What I want is close to the current [menupath] but I wish to remove the node title. Where is the menupath stored? I cant find it in $node so I'm having trouble figuring this one out.

Could anyone point me in the general direction?
