I was adding a sermon from April 26, 2009. I left the "service" pulldown as "none", but I got a message stating that a service was required. I didn't have any services created, and I would prefer to not have to go back and create old services.

Additional info: Our church typically has two services on a Sunday. Both services have the same sermon. I mention this to show that there is not always a 1-1 relationship between service and sermon.

Hmm, this is a bit more tricky, since the sermon archive uses the date from the service for display and sorting purposes.

It seems to me that there are a couple of issues:
- Some services have more than one time
- Sometimes you don't want to create a service just to post a sermon - which I guess is a kind of data-entry question more than a data model question.

Allowing services to have more than one time is not much trouble. What if the system also allowed you to specify a sermon or a date (exclusively)? Would that work?
