Problem importing sites with aegir

The tasks are not created, the ones that are created verify fine and the sites work.

No I didn't follow the bug reporting guidelines, I will look them up.

Moving this issue to Hosting module since task creation seems to be the issue.

Is there a way to manually create a site import task?

OKay, I've read though the bug report guidelines. The environment seems fine, but just to give you a background this is what I'm running.
OS: Ubuntu Hardy, Apache 2, PHP 5.2
