How do I get the 4 mini blog plus the list of the titles down at the bottom of the home page on this demo:

I realize that it may only be made for the wordpress theme but is it possible to get the same look on drupal?

Panels + Views. Make one view which shows the top two posts using an imagecache preset for 521x246 px images. Make another view which shows four posts (offset +2) using an imagecache present for 235 x 109 px images. Finally another view which shows 5 posts without thumbnails (with an offset +6). Then simply arrange the views on top of each other within Panels.
