I have a node that has multiple ImageFields, by default, the fupload only assigns images to one of the fields, it would be nice if this supported multiple fields.

Not clear if this feature will come. Possible in the completely new release, but not sure.

I need this functional too. I think this feature would be useful to many users.

+1 to this to have better integration with cck.
Maybe all that is needed is to keep the single file list but using the cck field to reference them and let each have a button to call the same file upload dialog box.
The intention is to have a friendly user interface for step by step node creation forms.
Actual usage of different field settings include setting different cck permissions for certain roles, with different number of images, thumbnail sizes, image sizes and upload sizes allowed as well as storage directories.
