Hi, the site has just been upgraded with an improved search. Currently the database is being indexed so they've disabled the button.
For now do a good advanced search and specify "drupal.org" in the domain criteria.

Google
You can always use Google for a site specific search if Drupal's site search is acting up or doesn't return the best results. Head to Google and type:
site:www.drupal.org "keyphrase"
(replacing keyphrase with the error text you want to search for).
If you want to search ALL of drupal (CVS, etc), you can change site:www.drupal.org to site:drupal.org (picks up all of the third level domains).
Cheers,
