Issue Summary
Can anyone suggest their solutions for mass mailing using mimemail and to an extent smtp authentication.
I have the later two working together and need them for Simplenews. Seeing as Mass Contact is not working with mimemail currently, can anyone offer a work around or is there a patch that I've not found?
This is a drupal 6.13 install.

Sort of - for that particular install I was using views and needed to contact registrants not site members (as in most cases) so I think i used http://drupal.org/project/views_bulk_operations that has an email function Ive also noticed views send mass email http://drupal.org/node/134931 hope this helps
until we have mass mail maybe for site members
