i am using the latest cvs and installed the event module. when i click on the add event nav menu item, i get the above fatal error.

i looked through common.inc to try to find form_allowed_tags_text(), but i could not find it. was it taken out for some reason?

fixed in cvs. filter_tips_short() is the replacement.
