Why is OpenInviter in the modules/ folder and not in the openinviter_engine module folder?

Also, can you run ls -ld on the sites/all/modules/OpenInviter folder and print the result here. It sounds like the webserver just doesn't have read access to the folder.

You have to set the proper permissions for the container directory of openinviter, try setting the whole directory to (644) or (755) through your FTP client or what ever connection tool you use, set it to the proper permissions so the web server can read and execute the script file.
**NOTE, openiviter needs also "write" permission on the directory that is being used to store cookies when it works in order to function properly, in this case i advice you set the permissions on this directory to (777)

Hi Scott,
i think that there should be a way to configure the location of openinviter installation from within the module it self , sometimes this is really important specially when dealing with shared host hosting providers and its also better since devs can organize the files of 3rd party packages the way they see fit for their work and organization, in other words, i think that it would be better if dcl_importer had the ability to find the place of the 3rd party packages other than the default place of where they are currently stored, for some reasons i want to have openinviter stored at my home directory rather than /var/www/koko for example, what do you think of that?

#4

@soosa yeah, that would be no problem to add. Can you create a new feature request ticket for it?

#5

Sure, i will try my best to patch it as well, Thanks for the great work scott

This module is being deprecated in favour of contact_importer which supports the libraries module and can do this.
