I am new to Drupal and just installed 6.13, I want to download and install CCK but I am confused with the module names I find. I was expecting a module called just CCK instead the module alphabetic-list page has stuff like : CCK Autocomplete, CCK Blocks e.t.c. So which do I download ??

Another related question is this : the page for a given module e.g DHTML Menu has 6.x-3.5 as the version "Recommended for 6.x", does this mean the module can be installed in any drupal 6.x environment, or does the 6.x-3.5 (to the far left of that release entry) indicate the particular drupal version as well. By the way, I did not see any result / changes in my Navigation menu after installing and enabling DHTML Menu.

as long as the version starts with 6. you should be fine. (Just read the description for any known complications.)
