Because you cannot assign nodes to a vocabulary, only to terms, the root menu item shows an empty page when clicked.
Furthermore: if you use this as main navigation on your site, you might want to show the taxonomyterms themselves instead of the vocabulary.
I therefor made and _config option. A checkbox allows you to enable r disable the root menu item. I.E: if it is checked (by default) the module will work as it did before. If you uncheck it, the navigation-block will not show the root, and you will be presented with all terms on the first level.
