Hello.

(this message was initially posted in "Post Installation" but got no response, so I am trying it out here)

Is there a way I can establish a trigger to be fired when a node of specific content type is created (it's a custom type, built on CCK)? It is much preferred that this solution doesn't require writing code, but if no other solution is available I will resort to writing code.

I was looking for a way to do it using the rules module. I suggest you check it out.
