Authenticated role not working with node limit after resend validation

Hello,

In non-authenticated role i have selected a custom role say general-5 and after resend validation as per LoginToboggan the role gets changed to authenticated role is there a way after resend validation instead of authenticated role some custom role can been assigned because i install node limit module and its not working with authenticated role. Any help will be appreciated.
