Search Engine picks up text in side bar block

Project:Wilderness
Version:6.x-1.0-beta1
Component:Miscellaneous
Category:support request
Priority:normal
Assigned:Unassigned
Status:closed (won't fix)

Issue Summary

I entered our organization in a Internet Search and the text for one of my Blocks in the sidebar displays as a page description. The block is a promo for GoodSearch.com.

Even though the block does have our name in it, I would prefer the promo not be displayed as the page description. Is there any way to prevent it?

Try this module to get control over the metadata the search engines will look at:

TKO, thank you for taking your time to reply. I needed to know the information you provided. You are the first person to answer in all these years.

Drupal Forum Users, you must never forget that no matter how old the question, there is someone sitting on the other end of that question waiting to hear what you have to say.

Great! Glad to hear the info is relevant. Did the module work as expected?

It will most likely be Sunday evening before I have the time to work on the web site. Would it be reasonable to wait hours, days, or weeks for the search engine results to change?
