I will look at this issue in the future. but for now it is only profile module.

+1 subscribing. It would be really useful to be able to map the username to a cck field attached to a content profile.

Boriss, thanks for the info however I don't think that will get the changes into the module. It only helps others to create a workaround.

Nicholas, that was my intent. Content Profile is quite a standard module, I never use the build in profile fields anymore. So it's just there for others searching a solution like me. Still looking forward to a intergrated solution though, hope a real solution will make it into the module. So that any cck text field can be used.
