Hi,

I am new to Ubercart. I want to allow my site users to purchase certain roles. Once they purchase a role, they can post unlimited number of certain content types; but for those who prefer not to purchase any role, I want to make it possible for them to pay per post:

Users who already purchased 'Role A': Able to post unlimited number of content type A
General Users: Pay every time they want to post content type A

I am guessing that uc node checkout may let me do this but am not sure. Is there someone who has done this before or know anything about this task? Please let me know how to do this.

I kinda bump into this feature unexpectedly.
Under "Ubercart - core (optional)", enable "Roles" shall grant the ability you want.

Thanks. I will check that out =) I am using node checkout now but am facing a new problem...user are not able to see full content if the author doesnt make the payment...lol my project is going to be one that will never get done...=]

The Role promotion product feature will let you sell roles that have different permissions than your normal authenticated users. However, at present, you cannot enable node checkout on a per-role basis... so everyone will have to go through checkout or everyone won't. I could see a future feature of this module allowing that, but for now you'd simply have to create an additional content type and account for it throughout the site.
