I have used the dev version and it does indeed fix the issue reported at http://drupal.org/node/413812. I am curious though if there is a way that this can work for more than 2 members?
My vBulletin users have a lot of Private messages that are from one person with a bunch of people CC'ed in on the message. When the messages are imported it is only sender & recipient. I would like for them to have the names of all the users that were CC'ed to appear as well so if they want to reply to all, they can do that.
Not sure if this is the import or just a limitation of the Privatemsg module?
Also was curious about importing my own user account. I am the first registered user on Drupal, therefore Site Admin, when I import, it obviously fails for my own id because my user name already exists on Drupal. I can get around it by renaming the first drupal ID something different and logging into my own id rather than the site admin. I am wondering if there is a way to import my info into the site admin id or merge the two? I would like use the site admin so I don't have to keep going back and adding permissions for myself every time I add modules.
Hopefully I am making some sense.
Thanks.

Tolas commentedwell, I found the answer about importing existing users, no biggie and the PM's will have to do, as my site had to make a sudden change and it's close enough.
