OK, sorry about that. Please add the Greek language, the team consisted of at least 2-3 persons working on it, we'll see if we can gather more people to work on it.

Will the existing translation be imported to the l10n_server or is this something we should do?

No existing translations are imported, since judging the quality of your text (whether you import stuff as translations or suggestions) is totally up to you. People not knowing Greek cannot judge that.

I've worked for the Greek localization and I have used and contributed to both l10n.mydrupal.gr and drupal.org/project/el, the l10n server had a lot of translation issues at that time...

In my opinion, we must combine the efforts, create a complete core translation based on drupal.org/project/el and import it to localize.drupal.org/, then, one project at a time, we have to import 3rd party modules and check them so that they conform to the high standards we set at drupal.org/project/el

Also I would like to mention that all the above people talking about the issue are in the translation list @ Berlios :

We should have discussed about the migration to localize.drupal.org there (at the list) instead of someone just posting an issue here, bypassing all the hard work we did and splitting the Greek localization in half. We are too few to split, our task should be localization, not communication issues.

Yes, the reason I'm not running to set up teams is to let them discuss such matters. I obviously have no idea what kind of discussion tools do the communities use. Feel free to discuss as you see fit and come back with a decision.

We'll take this off this issue, since I'm pretty sure Gábor is not interested.

Well, I'm totally interested in that you have a translation server at http://mydrupal.gr/ and you seem to want to continue using it? Is that right?

The idea would be that that localization server is turned off and data from there is imported via .po files to the central server.

Gábor, please proceed with the addition of the Greek language in the l10n server. The administering team will consist of cog.rusty (http://drupal.org/user/33697), cyberGL (http://drupal.org/user/64318) and me. We will import the translation from the existing official project (/project/el) and continue from there. Everyone else contributing to the translation will only have the permission to suggest.

If you need anything else, just say so.

Yes you are right, i read the policies and i think this is the best solution.

I beleive that the http://l10n.mydrupal.gr administarors allready working on this...

So i' m turning this back to Postponed, and the http://l10n.mydrupal.gr administrators may switch back to active when everything is OK.

As far as I can see, when you click http://l10n.mydrupal.gr , it sends you to http://localize.drupal.org/

I think we should accept this for a period of time for people to update bookmarks.

Please expect that there might be bumps in the service. You are among the beta-tester of this live instance. Thanks for helping out and please report issues as you find them! Your team members can now join and help import existing translations and work on more translations.

Also note that I've set this up so that it uses a controlled model (that group admins moderate translations). If you'd rather work in an open model (that everyone can directly submit translations), that is up to you and you can edit your group node to reconfigure anytime.

Consequently, I've also removed the team's listing from the standalone servers at http://drupal.org/project/l10n_server - please do import all data from there to localize.drupal.org as discussed
