i have recently come across a new term i had never heard of before: live blogging engines.
has anyone tried this on a drupal site yet?

demostration

its like chatting, twittering except in a moderated blog i think,it has full twitter intergration.
anyway, i would like to try this in a drupal site. scribbleit has one click integration for wordpress. but asking a question about other cms seems to be a bit tricky, i cant find the contact form. i did write coveritlive for embedding instructions.

i heard from coveritlive representative this evening.

she says it requires iframes

Hello,
Thank you for writing with your question. If Drupal allows the use of iframes, then you should be able to use our application normally. I would attempt to embed the “normal” code first (I’ve included some links immediate following for how to do that), then if you have problems, follow the second set of instructions below.

TRY THIS FIRST:
Putting your live blog onto a Website

IF that doesn’t work, then it’s possible that Drupal doesn’t play well with iframes. If that’s the case, here are some alternate instructions:

Several blogging platforms, such as Wordpress, Facebook, and Tumblr, and a few website platforms don’t allow the use of iframes. For these services we supply an alternate embed code that doesn’t use an iframe.

This alternate code will place a hyperlink on your page which readers will click. A separate popup window with the CoveritLive Viewer Window will be shown. It is available only when creating a new Live Blog (not through Quick Launch) or editing the setup of a blog not yet started.

Click on the checkbox for Wordpress, Facebook, et al users and a new embed code will be generated. Copy the embed from this lower box and place it on your site page. Note that for some blog sites you need to use their HTML option to accept the code.

You can also click here

for alternate instructions from our Support Center for using the URL portion of the embed code to simply provide a link to the event.
