I have tried just using the default entry to paaste data, as well as pasting data using tinyMCE, and neither work. The line breaks show in the input screen, but not in the output after I save. If I go back and look at the input the breaks are still there.

If I switch to Garland it works fine. If I then switch to amity island, the breaks disappear again in the output.

Please help.

Never mind. It was due to me adding margin:0 and padding:0 to the < p > tag in the css file.
