USA Hospital Directory

USA Hospital Directory is a free yellow page style website focusing on American health care institutions. Hospitals are listed by State and City, in alphabetical order. Phone numbers, addresses and location maps of thousands of US hospitals is a click away.

drupal and USA Hospital Directory

USA Hospital Directory was built with drupal 6. I used the theme acquia_marina, and almost nothing was modified. USA Hospital Directory is a simple website, but in fact, lots of modules were used to built it.

admin_menu, advanced_help, backup_migrate, views_bulk_operations were used for administration and maintenance.

cck, date, email, gmap, link, location were to used for constructing hospital content type, containing hospital location ( latitude and longitude, address, zip code), hospital website address (link) and the email addresses of hospitals (email).

contemplate, views, related_terms, print,tagadelic.. these module were used to show hospital lists and hospital info pages. I used contemplate module to show the hospital info page the way I want, including a hospital location map was shown with google map api. States and Cities were related to hospitals as taxonomy terms, and were shown with tagadelic and related_terms. To show hospital in alphabetical order, I used a duty cheat ( http://www.o-learn.com/content/drupal-6-list-nodes-alphabetical-order ).

xmlsitemap, search404, seo_checklist, site_map, nodewords, page_title, globalredirect, pathauto, captcha, google_analytics, token were also used, most for seo purpose.
