Issue Summary
I saw the jquery plugin module also before when I released earlier versions of the ddblock module, but at that time the cycle plugin was almost updated daily, and I used the latest versions for some functionality.
I could use this module for the the cycle plugin and the scrollable plugin with the ddblock module and the views_slideshow_ddblock module.
Advantage, code is shared among modules.
Disadvantage, another dependency for the module.
I also have the following questions:
How often are the plugins updated?
How quickly is a plugin updated after a request.
In general: How does updating the plugins work for this module.
Are the plugins checked periodically on updates or is it mostly by request of other developers?
How many plugins will be supported in this module. I mean when a lot of plugins are supported, which have frequent updates and a user uses only 1 of them, the user gets also update warnings for the module when other plugins, which he doesn't use are updated. (each plugin update is a module update)
The user would need to make a lot of updates, or check if the plugin he uses is updated, when the warning shows up for the module.
Thanks,
Philip

I update the plugins as often as I need to, or when someone files an issue. Yes, any plugin update requires a module update, but I try to specify which plugins have been updated in the release notes.
I don't know how many plugins will end up being included in jquery_plugin. So far it seems many module developers have preferred to keep adding plugins separately to cvs.drupal.org..
