Problem when configuration is set for Registration Only

I really like the Registration only feature you added to the program as it is important for the type of website I am working on.

The problem is that when a user registers and registration only is set all roles are assigned to the person instead of just the one they chose.

When a user can change his/her role in the user profile, everything works like a charm. I however need can not allow people to change there roles as I am working on a website for a fraternity and a sorority both with separate areas with critical information in them that should not be seen by the other party.
