Description

I'm getting serious amounts of spam slipping through my Mollom filters. About 30 each day. I have anonymous comments enabled to collect feedback on the screencasts I publish so it's important to me to not require authenticated accounts, but it's crippling my time to manually hunt down and delete spam that gets through. I don't know why it's happening, but here are some possibilities - if anyone can point me to the one causing all the pain then I can work on it myself.

1. Am I reaching the cap on my free Mollom protection?
2. I am using the right version of the module, right?
3. I have all the forms protected with CAPTCHA and text evaluation, that should be enough?

I have been reporting and deleting spam over the last two weeks, but I have just decided to report and unpublish the spam instead, in case the kind folks at Mollom need to see the spam comments to help their system get tougher. If any Mollom people want to see it, just let me know.

I also have to say that my sites are constantly harassed by Turkish spam posts, even before using Drupal as a CMS. Back when using Greymatter as a CMS I had problems with "sohbet" spam, and it seems lots of other people get this problem too: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=sohbet&aq=f&oq=&aqi=g10

So, hmph, I don't know what to do next. Thanks for any insight!

Ah, I should have pointed to my site in question:

And some Mollom stats and reporting to show what's up on their server end. I can promise that I am not posting 180 ham messages in a day, I barely even blog this time of year. At the most I am intentionally posting a new article once per month... I know, but that's another issue.

From what I can tell you may have gone over the limit on the 27th of August. This limit happens when were more than 100 correct CAPTCHAs *or* 100 legitimate posts. You should check your Mollom fallback option to make sure it's 'block all content' instead of 'allow content to be submitted'.

I've just double checked and I have not had 100+ correct submissions on my site ever, and the ones that are actually submitted are plagued by all sorts of Turkish language spam that seems to slip under the nose of Mollom every time.

So where do I direct this issue of Turkish spammers getting through the filter? Do I continue to take it up with the Mollom module or take it directly to mollom.com?
