I've not done an upgrade to my Drupal 5 site in a while, just updated all my modules. Now I'm going from Drupal 5.12 to Drupal 5.19

I've found files in the root directory that look like:

core.25235
core.27835
core.27975
core.28104
core.28265

I got 13 all together. They are around 150 MB in size.

What are these files?

They're not related to Drupal they're from problems you may have been having with your php installation.

I could not find a google search result that explained what they were.

I already dumped the files. I can only suspect they were related to an outage and hopefully upgrade by my host, Lunar Pages.
