I just noticed today that all my sites that use panels / advanced user profiles no longer show the user profile and all the panels configurations are not longer there.

You're going to need to give more information than that... They don't just spontaneously disappear. What did you change?

I really did not change anything and especially in common with all three sites.

All three site www.mychemistrytutor.com , www.shareyourexpertise.com and www.studentloanrelief.org use this combo

The only thing they have in common recently is that cron.php was run and performance cache was cleaned.

The only one that has had a new module added was www.shareyourexpertise.com

I just noticed today. As far as I knew they should be working fine.

It's possible you changed something earlier and the effect was masked by cached data. I suggest trying to upgrade to the beta and see if that helps. If not, let me know what versions you are using of the various modules related to APK.

OK I will look in to that, just on an update, as I am installing this on blank site

It might be a panels issue because although panels and choas tools are installed and enabled. I have noticed the panels link is missing from my Site Building Admin list.

Like I said I just found out today.

The only modules I am using are the released versions of views and author pane.

I am going to try to add them slowly to this test site and cron and uncache and see what happens

and i am using the beta version

If Panels isn't working, then APK isn't going to work as it relies on Panels.
