I would really like to integrate Google Checkout, but I've already started building my store on UC2/Drupal 6 ... are there plans to create a version of UC Google Checkout module for 2.0?

It's already there. Been sucked up into the core. I am taking the liberty of marking this one closed, even though I am not on the project.
