Which module (AJAX?) will verify whether an e-mail address is real?

I have seen "e-mail checkers" on sites registration forms before, and was wondering if a module for Drupal existed. You know thw type...You enter your e-mail address and it immediately checks to see if the host is valid...Any help would be appreciated.
