I was rolling comments tonight and ran across these two nodes with snippet organization concerns:

One is a request to organize snippets by drupal version, rather than just alphabetically

The other is requesting a filter for snippets based on drupal version.

Has this been requested before or has there been discussion on how to reorg these larger link lists on pages?
I can see this as an issue on OS specific install/upgrade as well.

Any discussion?

I think this all falls under the general IA redesign that is going on and will be addressed with that. I don't think it is worth pursuing changing the existing set up right now, since it will all be changed on the new docs.d.o anyway.
