I feel that importing products from a file is a must for this E-commerce package. I was able to use node_import before this contribution went to 4.7. Can anybody give me clues about how to accomplish this task?

Maybe running two imports with node_import (one for the 'product' node and another to update ec_products in the database)?
Maybe a SQL statement directly to the database?

I don't know... But this functionality is so important.

going to go ahead and mark this a duplicate of #52510. Same idea.

I think a lot of people would like to see this down the line. Its on a wish list for a a site I'm working on. I don't think its high on the priority though because there are a lot of core areas being reworked.
