Perhaps this is a feature request - perhaps its a simple question and feed element mapper does do this already, I just have not figured out how to do this.
Here the is the problem:
Using Feed Element Mapper - FeedAPI Mapper 6.x-1.0, FeedAPI 6.x-1.8.. importing RSS feeds and mapping some of the fields into created nodes from the feed.
Some of the imported RSS feeds, do not have properly setup feed configurations, so e.g. they do not have the RSS field for 'Author' or "Blogname' properly set up.
If i map the feed items 'author' field to my cck field for author... I have to manually correct every feed item... or edit it, since the feed sometimes does not fill this field in.
A solution would be to have a cck field in the FEED (main node) ... mapped to the item nodes created.
Something like:
Mapping of MAIN FEED cck field ... to Node item.
Currently Feed Element Mapper only allows me to map feed items to the node item.
Is there a way to do this already with FEM that I might have overlooked? or is this a feature request now?
Would be great if anybody could jump in and help.
