simpletest extention testing [#568672]

The simple test that checks the file extension only looks for txt, png or jpg.

Simpletest comes with gif files for images so this step fails.

SimpleTest comes with a png, gif, and jpg file. The tests are all passing fine for me, so I don't see why this is necessary.
