Problem configuring Drupal Node Gallery

Hi,
I have successfully install Node Gallery on my Drupal following the steps available at http://drupal.org/node/544242 . But when i upload images into the gallery, the picture is not display. The only thing displayed is the image name. I try to check for the images on the FTP by following the image path. I found that the 3 folders where the image is stored was not there.
1) imagecache > node-gallery-cover
2) imagecache > node-gallery-display
3) imagecache > node-gallery-thumbnail
I have tried creating these 3 folders on the FTP and set the mode to 777. But when I upload the picture, it is still not stored in it. Does anyone know where i can check/configure for the image upload path?

Same problem for me with a fresh news drupal6.14 install !
The module is correctly installed with all dependency, without any errors, bur no thumbnails, even afer cron...
How could we check that image cache is correctly linked with images nodes ?
(there is no field attached to imagecache action)
Please, HELP !

The whole page is good and also has a section, 'what can go wrong'.
Please look that page over carefully.
Also mentioned on the ImageCache page, public downloads has to be enabled.
