I would imagine that 1 out of every 10 commenters on my blog notices that the subject line can be changed. As a result, I might have a dozen or more comments in a row with the same exact title. Bad enough on the node itself, but looks especially sloppy/boring on my 'recent comments' block.

I suggest adding functionality to allow for replacement patterns in the way that some other modules do. For example, the pathauto module allows automatic naming based on a series of presets, such as [user], [user-raw], etc...

In other word, I would like to see a setting whereby comments could be tagged something like "RE: [node-title] - [user]" to allow for a bit of diversity.
