Can you hook into the permissions system to allow admins to set who can vote? This would make it so a single module could be used for admin ratings or user ratings.
Also, can you make it so only certain content types can be voted on? I have categories (category.module) set up and it doesn't make sense that they can be rated.

Please take a look at the newest version (1.2) in CVS. The functionality of your second request has been added.
I do like your permissions suggestion and will try to add that in the near future.

awesome job, man! with the 1.2 version in CVS mediumvote is just perfect for the voting needs of my site. respect.
it also seems to be quite stable, I'll post any bugs I find.
