I like the idea and setup of revenue sharing, but, on a knowledge forum the model should be a little different I think.
Today it’s only the author of the node who gets rewared (model x), and the users who posts comments gets nothing.
Wouldn’t it be good to have a secondary model (z) that also takes the comments in consideration. The admin could choose on which content types the x model should be used and on which the z model should be used.
Ok, and how should the z model work?
I think we must include the node itself in the chance of getting picked, because every forum topic isn’t a question. And we also got to have an option that lets the admin choose on which content types the x and z model should be used.
Option 1: Combine a voting module width AdSense, users width a high vote has a better chance. A big disadvantage is that people get fixed by their rank, and that they join groups who vote on each other
Option 2: Just randomly pick the author from the node or from a comment, maybe the admin can choose a fixed percentage for the chance that the node gets picked. A bonus thing here would be to in some way take how active or popular (in a safe way) the user is in consideration.
Option 3: As option 2 but count numbers of characters in post, long posts get a higher chance.
option 4: ???

schichtarbeiter commentedJust a question: Is adsense sharing with the ansense module possible on comments at the moment? I thought that was only possible on nodes / node authors... (i know that that would only function in a single comment view)
