coffeecup0 - September 8, 2009 - 01:58

I keep getting "http://www.mysite/themes/theme_name/logo.png cannot be displayed, because it contains errors."

I make a change to one logo in a theme and seems to have corrupted images in my other themes.

What the heck is going on or am I not understanding how Drupal works? Can someone please help me????

I don't have an answer for you but you may get more answers if you are more clear about your question.

"whenever i make a change????"
What object do you change? What change do you make?

Have you searched google for:
"logo.png cannot be displayed, because it contains errors."
or
"cannot be displayed, because it contains errors."

I did and there are lots of posts on the Internet about this, and lots of possible problems/solutions, everything from saving the image in a bad format to transferring the image in ascii mode, not binary mode, etc, etc.

Hmmm

Thanks Drupaloo.... I did do a search but was maybe too frustrated so I'll try again. You're advise on the transfering of images sounded like that could be the problem, but I checked FileZilla, and the transferring mode is in ASCII. So I guess that's not it. Although, I was hoping that was the problem since it would be an easy fix!

Whenever I make a change to say the logo.png file for one theme, it makes the other logo.png files corrupted in other themes.

I know I am saving the files correctly. It's really strange, it seems to happen once the files are uploaded to the server. And it started with the Foliage Theme.

When transferring images with

When transferring images with FTP the mode should be binary or the image is likely to be corrupted.

and the transferring mode is in ASCII.

Read the previous post again.
Do you think PNG files are supposed to be ASCII?!

That may not be the problem (surely 'auto' is the default and filezilla should be smarter than that) but it shows why you are having trouble troubleshooting.

Thank you you guys!!! OMG I

Thank you you guys!!! OMG I feel like such a bum!! I can't believe it was something so simple (actually I can) as changing the transferring mode from ASCII to Binary. I remember I had to change it to ASCII because of something else I was working on and never changed it back.

I did a search and didn't find anything, but maybe I was too frustrated to notice anything...
I can't believe I just spent the last 3 1/2 hours spinning my wheels because of that.
