Is Mobile Devices module still being maintained?

Issue Summary

Following up on a request to link to all modules and themes that are relevant to generating content for mobile devices, I noticed that there is no development snapshot of this module. Also, it seems that the function you are describing is already being served by http://drupal.org/project/mobile_tools. If that is the case, is it necessary to continue development of this module?

No followup from maintainer and still no project commits since February 2, 2009. That's what we call abandoned. :)
