I'm in the process of building a site. It's live but doesn't have much content yet. I have 30 or so images and 15 or so videos, a couple of audio files.

I noticed that Acidfree is node-based and handled much of what I was trying to do. But I've installed it and noticed a few bugs, some of which were already reported, and several questions in the forum that are the same questions I have, that were never answered -- 0 replies.

The first question is how do I resize the album thumbnail? Second, how do I get it to resize thumbnails for images if I change the thumbnail size of those? I did considerable work on retheming image galleries that I'll have to do again if I switch to acidfree. But the video thumbnails and mass import features are good, if I can get them to work properly.

I like the new img_assist, and that doesn't seem to work with acidfree.

So my question is, is it worth using acidfree, or can I get its features from some combination of other modules? Is image module and its associated helper modules more supported than acidfree? Which is more future-proof?

I would love to tell you what I know, but currently I'm struggling with these considerations meself, so, yeah. I'm just hoping someone will step up and share their knowledge on this...
