Hi guys, im usign simple menu in my website but the menu are not showed when using IE(any ie version) the website is www.winicomp.com.br but in the firefox it works fine, what it can be? :(

I have the same issue in drop down on IE. The background doesn't appear instead a blank space with false appears, yet on top of it the menus do appear

The menu looks fine in many different browsers, it even looks fine in certain ie8 versions, which is weird!
When I view the menu on 2 different computers, both have ie8 version 8.0.6001....
The menu looks good on 1 computer, but I see a whitebox behind the submenu on the second computer! It does not make sense!
The only different between both versions of ie8 is that the product ID is different, and the "cipher strength on the ie8 with the white box is 256-bit vs. 128 on the other "working" one.

I've been googling this error, but none of the suggestions work, some where: remove background images (doesn't apply to me), something with the z-index (I played with my settings but it did not make a difference).
Any suggestions???

Solution:

Hi felow drupalors!
I came across this post: http://drupal.org/node/439338
and it helped me solve this problem, especially the post by RAD-X about deleting .bgIframe({opacity:false}) from the simplemenu.js

well, tq..
but the drop down arrow is not there. It is there in firefox 2.
Anybody else experiencing this issue ??

Looking at the code, the bgIframe is empty in 1.2. The code referenced shows something within. What's the correct fix? What works for you exactly?
