When I change a user account on Drupal.org, I sometimes receive a error message saying Error for site at http://association.drupal.org/; the error is not caused by the user account not being found on the sub-domain, because in that case I get a clear message that the account is not found on xyz.drupal.org (or similar identifier for the sub-domain).
I noticed this error in the past week, but then I have not noticed it anymore (I don't actually block users all days, anyway); today, I noticed it again.

Anyone else noticed this, and is it still a problem? Any pattern as to the accounts throwing the error?

As a similar error is shown for g.d.o, I take the problem is caused by some errors during the call to drupal_http_request(). The error reported for g.d.o is more explicit, and it says Error 0 (although, it doesn't report what causes the error).

It happened again, when blocking a user for spamming as per #756980: user yvangkwheng2010 spamming. The interested domain is g.d.o.

I've seen this happen too. I am not sure why this would happen. Maybe the bakery versions across the different installs is not in sync.

Title: Error when changing a user account » Error when altering a user account

I am changing the title to make the issue more clear.
