Drupal as a mobile website

I am using Wordpress at the moment but in order for it to be a mobile website I have to install a plugin and do some other configuring, so I was wondering before I switch over to Drupal for my website if it was mobile phone ready or if more tweaks have to be done to it?

You can easily make mobile website with Drupal. If you are planning for creating a separate url for mobile and a different theme, a good start point can be 'mobile'(http://drupal.org/project/mobile) or 'iui'(http://drupal.org/project/iui).
