First, let me just say that this is a lovely module and I was really happy to find it. So much better than having the page just show one price even when the price varies according to an attribute!

But one thing would make it even better - if there was a way to have the initial displayed price not shown until the customer chooses an option. I think there's a mod for osCommerce that does something like that - if the price is dependent on attributes, it replaces the initial displayed price with a string you can specify, so that it can say "Price: varies" or "Price: from $19.95" or something like that, instead of just having it say one specific price until the person chooses a different option.

It's not vital or anything, but it would make things a bit more user-friendly than having an initial price displayed which may not be what the person is actually going to end up paying.

spdiersilk,

I am glad you have found this module useful. Unfortunately, no new features will be added to the 5.x-1.x branch, only bug fixes. In Ubercart 6.x the default option for each attribute is always selected, so this no longer becomes an issue. I am marking this as won't fix.

Cheers,

Antoine

I am working on an implementation for this request on my D6 site and will report back once I get it finished.

Thanks,

Update on this, I never figured it out, choosing instead to just use the default behavior. If I ever do revisit this I will post here first.

Thanks
