Hello everyone,

I'm having a couple of problems:

1) I'm trying to make a way for non-members to still see inside the site, yet not post, email, contact, etc. until they become approved members. How can this be done?

2) I've activated the invite module, and now I can see it ("invite a friend") in my profile, but I can't see it in anyone else's profile, including when I log in as another name. Am I missing something?

I suspect you will find just about everything you are looking for in the admin/access controls.

yes, one would think so, but I've been through them, and these things don't yet seem to be working, so I was wondering if I was missing something.

Administer >> Access Control

Set appropriate permissions for 'pre-authenticated user'. This is a user who has created a user acount, but has not yet been explicitly granted any roles.

As for the invite module, set the permissions for the invite module so that authenticated user (and any other appropriate roles) can see it.
