Hey,

I've been searching for a news module which displays latest articles of a special category in a block on the front page. I tried daily but I see no advantage towards assigning articles to a menu item and then putting that menu item into a block.
Both display nothing more than the headline of the article as a link (maybe that's why it is called a link).

Is there any solution to display the headline, date of publication, author and let's say the first 50 words with a "continue reading" link? I think this is a typical funtionality which can be found on lots of sites.
