Views, Taxonomy and thumbnail display

Hello all,
I hope my english is enough skilled to explain what's my problem... I wasn't so good in entering keywords and finding the solution by my own in the forum...

I followed the instruction in the book "using drupal" and created a view which show a list of the terms in the vocabulary "Galleries", and the number of pictures associated to every item.
If you clic on an item the system take you to a dedicated page, which shows the filtered grid of thumbnail.

What i need is to have a grid in the parent page, too.

Instead of the clickable list of terms, i need to recursively show the name of the term and a list of the, say, 10 most recent pictures. At the bottom of this set i would like a link "Show all" to go to the dedicated term page
(an example is available here, related to the Simple gallery module. But I don't need the lightbox and is necessary to perform the task throughout a view.)

How can I achieve it? I'm quite new using views and i'm blocked.

Thank you very much in advance
Simone

sorry for bumping...
