...Simply put, in the standard menu blocks, there is no control over individual menu items for styling and adding of icons/images. "First" item and "Last" item are given classes, but none of the ones in between. A simple numerical assignment to each of the list tags could allow simple and total control within the standard menu system...

Will there be any CSS id or class for the menu? I have my primary menu divided in 2 blocks. The submenu's are in another region, and I want to style them differently, but I can't make any separation.
