It would be great if there was an option to, instead of display the flickr pictures in a block, to just put the appropriate flickr tag in the body content area. This would be idea for where the images tie in with specific bits of data. The user could click on the image in the content edit form, and the text to insert it using the [flickr] syntax would appear in the content box.

Second this. The image can be brought in via a lot of means, but I've yet to find a way to bring in tags. Not sure if this is do-able via Flickr API, but if it is, this would be a really valuable feature -- could significantly enhance SEO for pages displaying attached or embedded Flickr images.

I believe the flickr module comes with a filter that allows you to insert images into the body text as you described in your request. I believe the syntax is something like:

[flickr-photo:id=470971384,size=s]

Assigned: Unassigned » jbomb

Perhaps something could be added to flickr attach to make it easier to generate the tags for the flickr filter. Would that satisfy this request?

OK, I misunderstood what was meant by "tag," so nevermind my comment. (Thought you were talking about the Flickr tags that categorize the image, not the tag that causes the image to be rendered.)
