I'm not sure if my experience is related to the issue described here:

I've been incredibly impressed with the power and versatility of this module, which suits many of my needs remarkably well. Upload with imagefield_import works perfectly well (though I'd certainly appreciate a way to automatically assign galler references through exif tags, title, description, location or some other variable).

My difficulty arises with being unable now to see a list of galleries in the 'edit image' page from which to choose. The little window is there labeled "galleries", it just doesn't contain anything. I've investigated permissions issues to the best of my ability, am logged in as user 1 and believe I have settings otherwise correct. Most confusingly, I'm sure the galleries used to be visible there when I first uploaded. Any suggestions are welcome.

try whether your gallery type is enabled in the gallery field of the image type settings (the adress should be like : admin/content/node-type/ckim/fields/field_gallery (where "ckim" is the name of the image type) - under "Content types that can be referenced".

Another thing to check is - if you have a view assigned in the same view for node selection (Advanced - Nodes that can be referenced (View)) - the view for gallery selection. Mine is called "gallery_list_nodereferrence".

Thanks so much- I tried both of these. Eventually I believe shifting to check boxes from list view solved this particular issue.
