This is the relationship structure I have set up using the Node Relativity module: My Hierarchy
In this relationship, every photo is associated with a Band. Some photos are associated with the album and some photos are associated with the songs.
I've set up my view like this: VIEWS Settings
And I am getting all of the required info into the correct row in the view (ie. Band name, album names and song names) but I can't get them into the correct column. Here's what I have and you can see I am very close: Current Layout
The problem is, if a photo is not associated with an album or a song, then the band name gets put into the wrong column. If a photo IS associated with an album AND a song, then the layout is perfect.
How can I get the empty columns to be empty and for the right info to be put into the correct column? (currently there are only 2 bands: Dave Matthews and Okkervil River.)
Thanks,
Erica

perhaps, and i'm suggesting this without the benefit of drupal or views in front of me, there might be a default output for fields without data. fill in the default w the html tag nbsp and see if it helps. this theory is based on the fact that tables behaved like.that in htm, sometimes. but i can't remember if i encoutered this in views

Thanks for your suggestion.
Thanks for your suggestion. I took a look at the table source code being generated and it does not seems that the columns are collapsing because of empty data. I also looked for an 'empty text' field in VIEWS but the only thing I can find is for if there are no rows, but nothing for individual cells.
I think I led you on a wild
I think I led you on a wild goose chase, the problem you have isn't related to what I said; I reread your post and looked at the pictures. I don't have the foggiest why you are experiencing the problem. I have a hunch saying that it has to do with using several relationships, but of course I can't be sure.
I would copy the view, and see if removing the (Album) Node Title, would move everything one column to the left, or try removing one of the relationships and see what happens.
At least it would give you more data to work with; I'm not currently using node relativity so I don't know if it has anything to do with it, or if it is a view specific thing. You could try to ask nicely in the node relativity issue queue, perhaps someone there might know the situation.
But in general, I have no clue :)

You could also try to change
You could also try to change the order of the relationships; I don't know if the order is relevant there, but it doesn't hurt taking a look and trying it out.

Hi pkej. Thanks for your suggestions.
I have already tried all of your suggestions. Removing fields moves all of the data but the same problem exists, just the data has been moved.
I also tried rearranging the Relationships and that makes things worse. Right now the layout is as close as I've come to having the desired effect... I've moved all fields around and all relationships around and either it completely messes things up or I end up right back to where I started.
I also think it's related to having multiple relationships and data stored at different levels of hierarchy...
Thanks for your ideas, though.

Views layout
Hi Erica,
Im just getting my feet wet with the Relativity module, and I like what you've got so far. However, Im a bit confused as to how you set up your Relationships in Views. Do you think you could give me a quick walk-through as to how you set up the multiple Relationships for Node Relativity content types?
Thanks much!
-Todd
Any Luck?
Hi Todd. Any luck on this? Did you figure it out?
Thanks;
